During our first Interrail Tour of Europe, we visited 14 capital cities in 17 different countries. Shortly after that, we heard of a so-called 100-club whose members attempt to visit as many countries as possible. However, their 'rules' are somewhat dubious in that they allow offshore islands, such as Man and Wight to be counted as separate countries. On the other hand, whether it is suitable to apply this rule to places like Denmark, or Stockholm, or Venice is open to debate.
Anyway, Mark and I sort of liked the idea of a competition, and this is our current scoreboard, with Ann and Cheryl's scores as well. Also, as the lists are expanding, we’ve split them between Europe and elsewhere. The latest scores are:
